In British Columbia Salmon are our keystone species. National Geographic defines a keystone species as a plant or animal that plays a unique and crucial role in the way an ecosystem functions. Without keystone species, the ecosystem would be dramatically different or cease to exist altogether. All species in an ecosystem, or habitat, rely on each other.

For all Canadians this documentary on BC Salmon is important to you. And not only important on Salmon and our ecosystem, but to see our Canadian government’s response to this serious issue and our keystone species.
