Trip Summary

It’s now early November and we’re coming to the end of the Salmon run on most of the rivers here in Lower mainland / Fraser Valley area. My buddies Neal, Tweedy and I got a great opportunity to fish with Rob on his boat the “Ass Kicker”. We jumped on this opportunity for some Sturgeon and late Chum Salmon.

To my surprise, the Chum fishing was hardly “late” as the action was nonstop and was one of the best Chum days I’ve ever had! Every other cast was a fish, the four of us limited out on Chum within an hour (all clean doe’s). Not only was the Chum fishing a success but we got into 4 Sturgeon and landed 3. No monsters (the “big one” got away) but Neal and Tweedy both got their first Sturgeon.

The day was packed with rain but we also had our calm moments where we enjoyed a great BBQ lunch on the boat. Neal provided a first class meal of marinated chicken breasts, roasted peppers and loaded baked potatoes. A warm lunch on the river really is great part of the fishing trip.

All in all, it was a very memorable trip for me. A huge thanks to Rob for having us out on his boat. Great time with the boys!
